What we do in UK

MATRAC supports African and Black communities in the UK by addressing health inequalities, social exclusion, and barriers to opportunity. We provide culturally sensitive health education and awareness on issues such as HIV, diabetes, mental health, high blood pressure, and cancer, helping individuals access information, reduce stigma, and connect with appropriate services. We also empower people through training, advocacy, and community support. By working with migrants, refugees, disabled people, and other vulnerable groups, we help individuals develop skills, understand their rights, and access opportunities that improve their wellbeing and quality of life.

What we offer: Projects and Activities

MATRAC delivers a range of projects and activities that improve lives and strengthen communities across the UK and Africa. Our work includes health awareness campaigns, support groups, training sessions, community development initiatives, and advocacy programmes that promote inclusion, education, and wellbeing. We also lead medical aid and textile recycling initiatives, collecting supplies and clothing in the UK and redistributing them to communities in Africa. These projects help improve healthcare access, reduce waste, create opportunities, and support sustainable development.

Delivering Health, Hope & Sustainability

Ultimately, MATRAC’s mission is to support healthier, more informed and more resilient communities while contributing to greater social justice and equity.
